The practice continues to scale its talent pool with largest-ever Managing Director promotion class and appointment of industry veteran Peggy Smyth as Senior Advisor
New York – January 26, 2026 – Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) Global Transaction Advisory Group (Global TAG) today announced the promotion of 15 professionals to Managing Director, reflecting the firm’s continued investment in client service excellence and internal talent development on a global growth path. Alongside these promotions, the practice has appointed seasoned corporate leader Peggy Smyth as a Senior Advisor, who will also service A&M’s Corporate Transactions Group (CTG).
This class of 15 Managing Director promotions represents the largest in Global TAG’s history and helps mark the practice’s 20th anniversary milestone in 2026, underscoring the firm's focus on strategic leadership growth and the expansion of its global transaction capabilities. In her role supporting the continued growth of both Global TAG and CTG, Ms. Smyth will advise clients from a corporate operator’s perspective while contributing to leadership development and mentorship initiatives across the practices.
