Alvarez & Marsal's Global Transaction Advisory Group Expands Exponentially in Asia Adding 40 Practitioners
Stella Yuan’s appointment as A&M Asia Global Transaction Advisory Group Practice Co-Leader, alongside seven new Managing Director hires, demonstrates the firm’s leadership growth.
SHANGHAI Feb. 22, 2023 -- Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) significantly extended its Global Transaction Advisory Group’s (TAG) offering across Asia with the appointment of Shanghai-based Stella Yuan, as Managing Director and Practice Co-Leader of TAG Asia. Ms. Yuan’s joining, supported by seven additional Managing Directors and 32 practitioner hires, also based in China, showcases the breadth of Global TAG’s Asia expansion. The new 40 member team in China is the latest milestone of Global TAG’s strategic growth plan following on its recent expansions in the Middle East, Spain, Italy, Germany, and Canada. These appointments bolster A&M’s lines of service and integrated platform to help clients capitalize on regional and cross-border investment opportunities across the broader Asia Pacific region and beyond.
As the Global TAG Asia Practice Co-Leader, alongside Hong Kong-based Managing Director Xuong Liu, Ms. Yuan advises clients on due diligence and transaction advisory matters. With over 20 years of experience, she has been involved in some of the largest buyout and privatization transactions in China. Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Yuan served as Greater China Private Equity Leader and Greater China Transaction Diligence Leader with EY.
EY and other Big 4 veterans Kevin Gu, Runald Li, Stella Ni, Tim Wang, Lingfen Wu, Bonnie Xin, and Jimmy Zhou who join A&M as Managing Directors, augment the firm’s China-based financial accounting expertise and ability to solve for clients’ complex problems.
