Kevin Gu is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Global Transaction Advisory Group in Shanghai. He specializes in providing financial and IT due diligence, technical accounting, negotiation support and other transactions-related advice, primarily to private equity funds. With more than 15 years of transaction advisory experience, Mr. Gu has worked across a wide range of industries, including TMT, industrial and consumer products, retailing, B2B services and healthcare.
Additionally, Mr. Gu brings significant cross-border buy- and sell-side transaction experience in China, Asia, Europe and North America. He leads the IT due diligence practice in Greater China and brings expertise in providing ITDD services to both U.S. dollar and RMB private equity funds.
Mr. Gu has worked with a number of global and regional U.S. and PE clients and collaborates with a number of premium local PE/venture capital funds.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Gu served as Transaction Services Partner with EY, where he worked on a number of high profile and landmark transactions.
Mr. Gu earned a bachelor’s degree from the Shanghai Jiaotong University in China. He is a fellow member of the China Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
