Davide Ganzer and Giorgio Perconti join as Managing Directors in Milan

MILAN – Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has announced the continued expansion of its Global Transaction Advisory Group in Italy with the appointment of Managing Directors Davide Ganzer, as head of Transaction Advisory in Italy, and Giorgio Perconti. These new hires demonstrate A&M’s commitment to helping global and pan-European private equity and corporate organizations seamlessly navigate cross-border opportunities and unlock value across the investment lifecycle.

The arrival of Mr. Ganzer and Mr. Perconti represents the next phase of A&M’s Global Transaction Advisory Group’s strategic growth plan and dovetails with recent expansion in Switzerland, Spain and the United Arab Emirates.

Mr. Ganzer comes to A&M with more than 15 years of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transaction services experience. He has advised private equity and strategic clients across Italy, Europe and other countries worldwide in multiple industries including industrial and manufacturing, consumer and retail, real estate, life science and business services.

Most recently Mr. Ganzer was a Partner in Deloitte's Milan office. He was one of the youngest professionals promoted to partner after 10 years in that firm’s transaction advisory services group. At Deloitte he was part of the Investment Management sector team which contributed to the firm’s Italian strategy for the private equity sector. Mr. Ganzer has carried out projects for both private equity houses and large corporations on both buy side and sell side engagements.

Mr. Perconti has more than 16 years of international senior corporate finance and due diligence professional experience, including buy and sell-side due diligence, share and purchase agreement advice, carve-out support, post-deal support and completion accounts. He has advised both private equity and corporate clients across a range of industries, including transportation, diversified industrial products, life sciences, consumer products, leisure, packaging and retail. 

Prior to A&M, Mr. Perconti served as a Partner in EY’s Transaction Support group in Italy. Additionally, he was with Deloitte’s Transaction Support Group in Madrid and London where he worked on both buy and sell-side due diligence engagements.
