Xuong Liu

Mr. Liu has significant experience in a broad range of sectors including industrial markets, consumer products, retail, healthcare, technology, media, telecommunications and real estate. He has extensive knowledge of the issues facing inbound investments in China and has assisted numerous companies including Morgan Stanley Private Equity, CVC, KKR, MBK Partners, Hertz, QVC, Lotte and Hillenbrand. Mr. Liu has a wide-range of cross-border experience, including transactions in the U.S., the U.K., France, Korea and Taiwan.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Liu was with KPMG, serving most recently as a Transaction Advisory Partner. He worked on high-profile and landmark transactions, including Morgan Stanley Private Equity’s investments in Sihuan Pharmaceuticals, the largest Chinese maker of cardiovascular drugs; and Sino Gas International Holdings, Inc., a leading distributor of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), compressed natural gas (CNG), and liquefied natural gas (LPG) in China.
Previously, Mr. Liu worked on The Carlyle Group’s investment into C.P. Pokphand, one of the largest animal feed producers in China; C.V. Starr’s investment in Changfeng Axle in China’s Fujian province; Hertz’s investment into China Auto Rental Holdings, the leading car rental company in China; and Johnson & Johnson’s acquisition of Elsker, the number one Chinese manufacturer and distributor of mother and infant skin care products.
Mr. Liu earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and accounting from the University of Bristol. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
