Alvarez & Marsal Launches Corporate Finance Practice in Germany
- A&M responds to growing M&A advisory demand and implements its expansion strategy with its new Corporate Finance business unit

Munich, 1st April, 2025 – Global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has established a Corporate Finance practice in Germany. Appointed with immediate effect, Managing Director Alexander Bischoff joins to lead and expand the new business unit together with Senior Director Daniel Bentrup.
More and more company founders, entrepreneurs, investors, and board members are attempting to manage the complexity of selling or restructuring their companies, raising capital, or acquiring assets. Demand for A&M's expertise in cross-border M&A strategies is continuously growing. The establishment of the new business unit reflects this development with a focus on Germany and continues the expansion of A&M's corporate finance team in Ireland, India, France, Spain, and the United Kingdom. The new unit will work closely with A&M's other business units, leveraging and complementing its proven global sector expertise. Alexander Bischoff has been recruited to develop the activities in Germany.

Mr. Bischoff joins A&M from KPMG Deal Advisory, where he led the German Corporate Finance team and enjoyed a highly successful 17 years. He spent 14 of those years as a partner and head of the M&A practice at KPMG. Prior to that, he worked at the investment banks Rothschild & Co. and Sal. Oppenheim.
Alongside Mr. Bischoff, Daniel Bentrup will oversee the team's development as a Senior Director. Mr. Bentrup has more than 17 years of experience and spent the last five years as a Managing Director and Investment Partner at the Tengelmann Group in Munich. Prior to that, he worked for more than ten years as a corporate finance consultant at goetzpartners and PwC.
