A&M continues to scale and expand its functional and industry expertise in the region with the appointments of Managing Directors Sébastien Catteau and Nigel Hinchliffe

London, 31 October, 2024 – Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal’s (A&M) Global Transaction Advisory Group (Global TAG) has appointed Managing Directors Sébastien Catteau in Munich and Nigel Hinchliffe in Manchester, as the firm continues to bolster its transaction advisory capabilities and sector expertise in EMEA.

Mr. Catteau spent 15 years in Deloitte’s transaction advisory team in Munich, and most recently served as EOS Partner’s Director for portfolio performance driving value creation and post-merger integration. He specializes in buy-and sell-side financial due diligence (FDD) advising private equity (PE) and strategic sponsors across various sectors including software, technology, engineering, professional services and healthcare.

In his role, Mr. Catteau will further strengthen Global TAG’s EMEA-based offering and pan-European perspective, guiding clients through increased cross-border complexities and utilizing data analytics and digitalization to maximise exit-readiness strategies and timing.

Mr. Hinchliffe, who formerly led KPMG’s Manchester transaction advisory team and co-led its UK betting and gaming practice, brings 20 years of M&A experience to the practice. He specializes in buy-and-sell side financial due diligence (FDD) and has advised on a number of the large European B2C mergers that have taken place across the sector in recent years.

In his role, Mr. Hinchliffe will expand A&M’s existing betting and gaming proposition across EMEA. Having spent four years as part of the corporate development function of a FTSE100 gaming business, he is well positioned to provide clients with industry level insights throughout the deal cycle.

Mr. Hinchliffe is joined by Director Connor Sheridan-Ross, formerly with KPMG, who brings 10 years’ of buy- and sell-side experience. Both Mr. Hinchliffe and Mr. Sheridan-Ross’ roles complement the recent hire of Managing Director Adam Rivers and are part of A&M’s build towards a full suite of due diligence services for the global betting and gaming sector.
