Nigel Hinchliffe

With 20 years of M&A experience, Mr. Hinchliffe has advised both corporate and private equity clients across a range of sectors, with significant experience in travel, hospitality and leisure, TMT, industrials and business services. His primary focus is on the global betting and gaming sector, having worked with a broad range of B2B and B2C clients across the UK, Europe and the U.S. As the Co-lead of A&M’s multi-disciplinary specialist betting and gaming team, Mr. Hinchliffe provides clients with industry level insight throughout the deal cycle.
Prior to joining A&M Mr. Hinchliffe was a partner at KPMG, where he led the transaction advisory team in Manchester and co-led the UK betting and gaming team. He worked with large corporate organisations including Evoke, Flutter, MGM, IGT and Games Global, as well as a range of large-cap and mid-market private equity houses.
In addition to his work as an adviser, Mr. Hinchliffe spent four years working in the corporate development function of what is now Entain, a global betting and gaming business and FTSE-100 constituent. He was recruited to help drive the value creation plan of the Apollo/Goldmans/Cerburus consortium (then owners of Gala Coral) and also worked the divestment of Rank casinos and retail bingo, the merger of Coral Eurobet with Ladbrokes (including the CMA-enforced disposal of 360 LBOs to Betfred) and the subsequent £2.3 billion sale to GVC.
Mr. Hinchliffe earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Liverpool. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW).
