Adam Rivers joins A&M’s EMEA Travel, Hospitality & Leisure Practice to lead new Betting & Gaming sector team.

London, 18^th March 2024 – Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) continues to expand its EMEA Travel, Hospitality & Leisure (“THL”) Practice with the appointment of Adam Rivers as a Managing Director in London.

Mr. Rivers will lead Betting & Gaming for the firm, leveraging his significant experience in regulatory, strategic, and compliance advisory, acting for both public and private sector clients.

He joins A&M from KPMG, where he led the firm’s gambling sector consultancy work. His work covered a broad range of disciplines, including commercial strategy and complex analytics, regulatory strategy and policy development, regulatory compliance and commercial due diligence in M&A. He is a renowned thought leader in the sector and regular speaker at conferences across the globe.

Adam will be joined immediately by three further new joiners in team, including two Directors and a Senior Associate:

• Seamus McGowan joins as a Director, having spent 12 years in consulting with a focus on Betting and Gaming. He specialises in strategic regulatory driven projects, with specific expertise in fiscal affairs, regulatory consultations, and strategic advice during M&A.
• Charlie Leach also joins as a Director, having spent the majority of his career advising Betting and Gaming clients. His focus is on regulatory compliance, strategy and engagement - from operational advice through to audit and testing - on a multi-jurisdictional basis.
• James Bentley joins as a Senior Associate, with significant experience in analytical modelling, including econometric demand estimation, optimisation, game design and risk simulation, and marketing effectiveness.
