Leveraging more than six decades of combined investigation and risk management expertise, the new hires will focus on helping clients respond to fraud and corruption.
Melbourne, October 1, 2024 - Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) Australia announces the appointment of Executive Director, Peter Morris, and Senior Directors, Angela Clancy and Michelle Jones with the firm’s Disputes and Investigations (DI) group. Bringing their in-depth experience to DI’s Investigations & Compliance practice, these new joiners are the latest demonstration of A&M’s commitment to the local market and the South East Asia and Australia (SEAA) region, along with showcasing the firm’s ability to attract targeted talent in response to increased expectations for organisations to manage fraud, corruption and misconduct.
Drawing on more than six decades of collective experience, each new appointee has a strong foundation in forensic investigations, fraud risk management, whistleblower programs, and regulatory compliance. Mses. Clancy and Jones and Mr. Morris have all led complex risk and compliance investigations into bribery, corruption, fraud, harassment issues as well as other serious workplace misconduct matters. Their comprehensive expertise spans numerous industries, including financial services, agriculture, mining, retail, manufacturing, law enforcement, healthcare, government, and public sector services.

Before joining A&M, Mr. Morris worked at the Independent Broad-based Anti-Corruption Commission’s (IBAC) as Executive Director, where he oversaw the Operations division, including Investigations, Surveillance, High-tech Crime, and Intelligence teams. Prior to that he served at Deloitte where he was responsible for investigations into fraud, corruption, and misconduct, as well as the whistleblower reporting system.
Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Clancy worked at Deloitte and PwC, where she led forensic investigations and disputes analytics teams. Ms. Clancy has over 15 years’ experience in forensic accounting, where she performed deep-dive analytical reviews to identify fraud and corruption, trace assets, identify liabilities and prepare loss assessments. Ms. Clancy is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner.
Previously, Ms. Jones worked for eleven years with big-four consulting firms in the UK and Australia, most recently at Deloitte’s Forensic Investigations practice. In these roles she conducted investigations into fraud, corruption, and employee misconduct, along with providing advisory services for fraud risk management and Australian whistleblower programs. Ms. Jones also brings experience in large scale remediation programs and acting as a project manager. Ms. Jones is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Certificate IV in Government Investigations.
