London, 05 June 2023 – Leading global professional services firm, Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), has announced the appointment of Domhnall McCormack and Keith Fisher as Managing Directors to bolster its global Software, Technology and Services (STS) offer. This follows a significant investment in the U.S. last year, which saw the addition of over thirty new hires, including six Managing Directors.

The growing European practice, led by David Moss, now comprises five leaders as Domhnall and Keith join Ian Elliott and John Lawson. The team advises software businesses and investors on performance improvement and transformation, as well as supporting non-software clients build software capabilities to enhance  their operations and drive new digital growth, working alongside A&M’s EMEA Digital practice led by Jean Laurent Poitou.   

Domhnall McCormack brings 30 years of experience building and transforming software businesses alongside private equity partners. Prior to joining A&M, he held several roles at companies owned by the ION Investment Group. Most recently, he was Chief Operating Officer and Portfolio Manager at ION Markets, where he led a growth strategy comprising the integration of seven new acquisitions, as well as renegotiating key contracts. Before this, Mr. McCormack spent 12 years at UBS as a Managing Director in Technology, where he served in various key roles including Chief Technology Officer for the Investment Bank & Group Head of Enterprise Architecture.

Keith Fisher has over 30 years of senior management experience, implementing technology across a range of sectors, with a particular focus on banking and payments. He has previously founded both hardware and software engineering firms in north America and Europe. One of his companies, LShift, was the original developer of the open-source message broker, RabbitMQ. The system was commissioned by a group of US banks and has been implemented across the banking industry and beyond.  He joins A&M from Oliver Wyman where, as a Partner, he advised a wide variety of clients on technology strategy and implementation.
