Nine new Tax Managing Directors, with extensive Big Four, government and legal experience, join A&M Tax Australia 

SYDNEY, Aug. 1, 2024 – Alvarez & Marsal Tax (A&M Tax), an affiliate of leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has appointed nine new Managing Directors, across Sydney, Perth, and Melbourne alongside introducing its new Financial Services and Capital Markets (FSCM) offering. This significant country-wide talent and capabilities expansion follows on the hire of Managing Director Sean Keegan to lead A&M’s Australia tax team and A&M Tax’s continued growth worldwide.

A&M Tax’s new Managing Directors Joanna Black (Melbourne), Vaughn Lindfield (Perth), Michael Johns (Melbourne), Rachel Munro (Perth), Andrew Moore (Sydney), Jagmohan Singh (Sydney), Brett Todd (Melbourne), Nathan Hamilton (Sydney), and Lisa Cusano (Melbourne) bring a wealth of collective tax advisory, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), tax structuring, transaction planning, tax controversy and corporate tax advisory experience to A&M. Their engagements span multiple industries, including financial services, private equity, real estate, mining, infrastructure, technology, media, telecommunications, and government privatization.

A&M Tax’s new FSCM line of service, spearheaded by Mses. Black and Cusano, will help guide financial services clients through tax complexities, and clients across sectors with raising capital markets’ financing and/or assessing capital management options.

Prior to joining the firm, A&M Tax’s new Australia team members served in leadership roles and partner positions at the Big Four and in government tax bodies. Each newly hired professional has worked with domestic, regional, and international clients, managing complex tax issues around transactions. Additionally, they all have in-depth strategic tax planning and drafting knowledge along with experience negotiating challenging tax aspects of transactions, as well as engaging with revenue authorities to resolve tax controversies.
