Alvarez & Marsal Further Expands Its Media & Entertainment Team on the West Coast with Addition of Ben Hope
Los Angeles, Calif. – Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) announces the addition of Managing Director Ben Hope to its Corporate Performance Improvement practice in Los Angeles. Mr. Hope’s appointment will bolster the firm’s Media and Entertainment industry expertise and help clients best navigate complex industry issues to maximize value.
Mr. Hope brings over 20 years of experience in the broadcast and cable, television and film production, global content syndication and distribution, and theme parks sectors. Additionally, he has in-depth experience supporting mergers and acquisitions including the design and execution of technology integration strategies, application portfolio consolidation, organization redesign and rationalization of redundant business processes.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Hope held executive positions across multiple functions at NBCU and Fox Networks Group, including finance, sales, operations and information technology. As a technology leader for NBCU and Fox, Mr. Hope developed and executed global technology strategies to transform business processes, automate workflows, manage solution portfolios and address increasingly dynamic changes in the media and entertainment marketplace.
While at each network, he led multiple transformation initiatives. These projects included the development of data and analytics platforms, the migration of legacy platforms to the cloud, the establishment of an integrated cross-platform sales ecosystem, the design and development of multiple business systems and the development of enhanced information security tools and processes.
“Ben has unparalleled experience transforming some of the country’s largest media and entertainment organizations,” said Joel O’Driscoll, a Managing Director who leads Alvarez & Marsal’s West Region Corporate Performance Improvement practice. “This is an era of disruption, uncertainty and fear in the industry. Ben’s appointment reflects our investment to help Media and Entertainment companies optimize the value of their content and improve financial results.”
Mr. Hope is a recognized thought leader on the latest technology trends and has lectured about the changing role of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the Anderson School of Business at UCLA.
Mr. Hope earned a bachelor’s degree in public accounting from Pace University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is a certified public accountant (CPA) in the State of New York and a certified Master Blackbelt of Quality.
