Jens Nawrath joins A&M in Frankfurt as Managing Director

London – Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) today announces that it has hired Jens Nawrath as a Managing Director in its European Debt Advisory team. Mr. Nawrath will join the Frankfurt office, bringing more than 30 years’ experience advising in debt advisory, turnaround and financial restructuring cases.

Mr. Nawrath specialises in complex financings and financial restructuring mandates, working with both listed and private clients and with a range of debt products including investment grade, leveraged and structured finance and asset-based finance. At A&M, he will bolster the firm’s restructuring offering, which has a strong track record, including advising on administration & financing of NMC Health and the administration, sale & financing of Customade Group. He joins as the third Managing Director in A&M’s European Debt Advisory team and will also work closely with the Financial Restructuring Advisory team on restructuring cases.

Prior to joining to A&M, Mr. Nawrath spent two years as a Partner with Deloitte's Financial Advisory practice, heading its German Debt & Capital Advisory team and advising on cross-border debt financings. He also spent more than 20 years with Commerzbank AG, serving as Head of Portfolio Management and Equity & Secondary Markets in the bank’s Restructuring Division for more than 10 years.

This appointment comes shortly after A&M bolstered its European Debt Advisory practice with three new hires in May 2021, including Floris Hovingh as Managing Director in London and Axel Rink, also from Deloitte’s German Debt & Capital Advisory team, in Frankfurt. The expansion of the European Debt Advisory team follows the dynamic growth in the Financial Restructuring Advisory team across Europe, including the recent appointment of Christian Ebner, also from Deloitte, to focus on German and Italian situations. Future growth is expected across the whole restructuring and debt advisory business as A&M add more senior practitioners to its 27 offices across the EMEA region.
