Jens Nawrath

Throughout his career, Mr. Nawrath has specialised in complex financings and financial restructuring mandates, working with both listed and private clients and with a range of debt products including investment grade, leveraged and structured finance and asset-based finance. He has significant experience advising on refinancing, covenant amendments/waivers, broader stakeholder management and non-performing loan portfolios for corporates, real estate and shipping companies in stressed and distressed situations.
Prior to joining to A&M, Mr. Nawrath spent two years as a partner with Deloitte's Financial Advisory practice, heading their German Debt & Capital Advisory team. He advised corporate and private equity clients on debt financings and helped build a leading cross-border advisory practice.
Prior to that, Mr. Nawrath spent more than 20 years with Commerzbank AG in different management positions, serving as Head of Portfolio Management and Equity & Secondary Markets in the bank’s Restructuring Division for more than 10 years. He advised the bank on landmark restructuring cases and non-performing loan portfolio transactions for corporates, real estate and shipping. Mr. Nawrath also worked as as a Managing Director at Leonardo & Co GmbH, Houlihan Lokey, and Corporate Finance Management GmbH.
Mr. Nawrath earned a diploma (accounting, banking and financial engineering concentrations) from the University of Pforzheim. He is a board member of Deutsche Kreditmarkt Standards e.V. and a member of the TMA Turnaround Management Association (Gesellschaft fuer Restrukturierung – TMA Deutschland e.V.). Mr. Nawrath is fluent in German and English.
