ALVAREZ & MARSAL’S GLOBAL TRANSACTION ADVISORY GROUP EXPANDS NORDIC FOOTPRINT WITH NEW DENMARK CONTINGENT

Practice welcomes Kathryn Jörgensen as its first Managing Director in Denmark, and Mike Eledjam as Managing Director in France, in Continued Expansion of Senior Talent Roster

Copenhagen, April 22, 2025 — Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal’s (A&M) Global Transaction Advisory Group (Global TAG) announces today the expansion of its Nordic footprint with a new Denmark contingent, welcoming Kathryn Jörgensen as the practice’s first Managing Director in the country, based in Copenhagen. The practice also announces the appointment of Mike Eledjam as Managing Director in France, in a continued assertive build of Global TAG’s senior talent roster within EMEA and globally.

Ms. Jörgensen spent 16 years with KPMG in its London and Copenhagen units, respectively, advising clients on buy-side due diligence, integration, separation, and sell-side execution issues, across multiple sectors, including financial services, healthcare, industrials, technology, and business services. As a specialist in acquisition and disposal activity, she works across the Nordic region to support Danish clients’ global M&A activity and was instrumental in the re-establishment of her previous firm’s Transactions Services practice in Denmark.

In her role as its first Managing Director in Denmark, Ms. Jörgensen plants Global TAG’s flag in the market, and will expand the practice’s pan-Nordic perspective and further embed its service offering for clients in the region.

Mr. Eledjam spent nearly two decades with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)’s Transaction Services practice in France, supporting corporate and private equity clients across the transaction lifecycle in multiple sectors, including media, consumer, and industrials. In his role with Global TAG’s EMEA practice, he brings his enviable cross-border experience to help clients mitigate risk while capitalizing on value creation opportunities from diligence through exit readiness.

Paul Aversano, Managing Director and Global Practice Leader of Global TAG, commented, “When there is opportunity for our practice to expand and bring in market-leading talent in service of our clients, we capitalize on it. Kathryn’s track record in the Danish transactions market sphere made her the clear choice to represent Global TAG’s official entry in the country, while Mike’s seasoned expertise in guiding clients within France and cross-regionally through the transaction lifecycle brings further diversity to our offering. Global TAG has a healthy position in EMEA, but our ambitions do not waver – we stay ahead of market demand through strategic talent investment and expansion, all with the lens to help our clients further unlock cross-border deal value while mitigating risk in an increasingly volatile market.”

Ms. Jörgensen and Mr. Eledjam are part of a continued wave of industry heavyweight appointments in Global TAG – including US-based Managing Director Mark Copeland, in a crossover role to service both private equity and corporate clients globally, as well as Managing Director Mark Cunanan, as the London-based leader of the practice’s recently launched Sale and Purchase Agreement Services (SPA) offering in EMEA.

Jonathan Gibbons, Managing Director and TAG EMEA Co-Leader, noted, “Now more than ever, clients depend on A&M’s results-driven, collaborative mindset to help guide their investment decisions and portfolio company growth trajectories. Kathryn and Mike’s joining are integral to extending A&M’s pan-European capabilities and Global TAG’s trusted advisor role across EMEA. Throughout EMEA and around the world, geopolitical disruptions are creating headwinds for value generation. A&M’s operational heritage is core to our global network’s ‘all hands-on deck’ approach for developing solutions that meet the moment.”

Taus Wolfsberg, Managing Director and TAG EMEA Nordics Leader, added, “Since our 2017 expansion into the Nordics, we continue to build market share, talent, and value for clients in the region and beyond. Global TAG is at the forefront of helping clients navigate complexities to get deals done. Kathryn’s career trajectory mirrors our entrepreneurial culture and ability to assess transaction issues at the intersection of local market concerns and global considerations. Her appointment underscores our regional growth strategy of hiring exceptional external senior talent to continuously drive value for private equity and corporates.”
