Yoshiaki Uno

Mr. Uno's primary areas of concentration are tax return processing for corporate tax, withholding income tax, consumption tax, and inheritance tax and advisory services related to securitization of nonperforming loans and real estate, business restructuring for the hotel industry, M&A and various reorganization cases, asset management for wealthy individuals, and development of headquarters-led tax management systems for Japanese companies.
With more than 35 years of tax experience, Mr. Uno’s notable assignments include providing tax compliance and advisory services to Japanese and foreign multinational companies and advisory services on securitization and business restructuring projects. Mr. Uno was responsible for delivering comprehensive tax services to owner-operated companies and companies planning to go public, covering various forms of tax. He has worked with clients across various industries, including finance, real estate, hospitality, and multinational corporates.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Uno spent several years with leading firms, including a major investment bank. He also ran his own tax advisory company in Tokyo, where he most recently served as a Senior Tax Advisor. In these roles, some of his key accomplishments included developing and implementing advanced tax strategies, successfully leading major compliance projects, and providing strategic tax planning for complex business transactions.
Mr. Uno earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Chuo University. He is a licensed tax professional in Japan.
