Sean Zhang is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax in Beijing. He brings more than 10 years of tax service experience, specialising in transaction tax advisory.

Mr. Zhang has served both PE and corporate clients on inbound and outbound investments including buy- and sell-side tax due diligence, tax structuring advisory, pre-/post-deal restructuring, tax modeling and SPA tax review.

Mr. Zhang has worked with clients in various industries, including technology, media, and telecom (TMT); manufacturing; real estate; healthcare and life sciences; transportation and logistics; and consumer products.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Zhang spent 12 years with EY’s Beijing office, where he worked on 200+ inbound/outbound projects.

Mr. Zhang earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the Harbin Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in accounting finance from the University of Exeter. He is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
