Mr. Mirza has more than 18 years of restructuring and transaction experience advising Boards and a range of financial stakeholders in stressed and distressed situations. His clients have included a number of corporations (both private and public), private equity firms and banks.
Mr. Mirza specializes in advising his clients on how to best protect value and preserve a company as a going concern in what are traditionally difficult situations.
Mr. Mirza is known for being straightforward and direct. He is proficient in advising on managing short-term liquidity, working capital, consensual and non-consensual debt restructurings, raising of new finance in distressed situations and accelerated M&A processes.
Mr. Mirza is generally sector agnostic although he has worked across a range of sectors, including retail, consumer products, financial and business services. He has an extensive experience in manufacturing, especially aerospace and defense and has worked with more than 30 aerospace manufacturers over the years.
Mr. Mirza is very well connected in the restructuring community and he was previously at Deloitte LLP where he was based in both the Midlands and latterly working in London.
Mr. Mirza is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has passed his Joint Insolvency Exam Board exams the first time.
He earned a master’s degree in engineering from Imperial College, London.
