With more than 20 years of experience, Mr. Kahle has held senior management and senior advisory roles in large-scale transformations as well as time-critical turnarounds. He has worked across a range of retail and consumer sectors, including fashion, footwear, beauty, pharmacy, grocery, luxury, jewelry, and consumer electronics, spanning all sales channels—from department stores to digital marketplaces. He has worked in the U.S., Asia, and across Europe, where he also held senior line management roles.
Mr. Kahle served for one year as interim General Manager at a leading European e-commerce group, leading the day-to-day business operations, turnaround, and transformation of the client’s international business. Further notable engagements include leading a turnaround program for a European e-commerce category leader; leading a commercial performance improvement program for a European pharmacy group; and building a retail media business for a leading European beauty omnichannel retailer.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Kahle spent six years with Accenture Strategy, where he most notably served as Managing Director and co-led the retail sector for clients in Austria, Switzerland, and Germany. Before that, he was part of Kurt Salmon, a global retail strategy consultancy acquired by Accenture, focusing on supporting clients along the retail value chain.
Previously, Mr. Kahle spent 10 years as an operator in senior management roles with leading omnichannel retailers in Germany and internationally. He also founded a fashion e-commerce start-up, which he led for three years and exited via a successful going-concern sale to a strategic investor.
Mr. Kahle earned a master’s degree (Diplom Kaufmann) from the University of Cologne. He has completed several executive education programs and was a lecturer at Reutlingen University for international retail management. A German national, Mr. Kahle is fluent in German and English.
