Jeffrey Cass, a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Performance Improvement, has nearly two decades of experience advising organizations in gaining a competitive advantage through the strategic use of human capital. His areas of concentration include: employee retention and engagement; talent management; high potential / succession programs; human capital strategy; human resource transformation / assessment / cost reduction; performance management programs and organization design.

Prior to joining A&M, Jeff spent five years as a Senior Consultant in the Human Capital practices of two Big-Five Consulting firms, as well as two years in internal human resources.

Recent Projects include:

Led employee engagement and retention studies; developed predictive model of factors driving employee turnover; surveyed all employees regarding engagement / retention factors, conducted focus groups to gain greater depth of findings and developed action plans to drive improvement.

Led the design and facilitation of Key Talent, High Potential, Succession Planning and Talent Management programs to ensure closure of near-term talent gaps with retiring technical talent and long-term talent pipeline for leaders and other critical roles.

Conducted individual executive assessments of top leadership, using structured assessment tools to identify strengths and development opportunities for individuals and the leadership team.

Designed HR Strategy; guided an HR Transformation, developing ability of the HR function to drive strategic talent support. Assessed and redesigned the human resources function, including the human resource structure, strategy, roles and processes; worked with SVP HR to develop HR Strategy and associated documents to present to Board of Directors.

Conducted SG&A reduction with focus on the HR function, reducing overall HR budget by 10%+ while improving service delivery.

Mr. Cass recently published an article on Talent Management trends in the Oil & Gas Financial Journal. He is certified in Harrison Assessments (for Leadership / Talent Assessment and Succession Planning). He holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification from WorldatWork, and a Green Belt Certification in Lean Six Sigma. He earned a bachelor's degree in industrial / organizational psychology and a master's degree in business administration (MBA) with a concentration in human resource management from Louisiana State University.
