Wayne Plummer

Mr. Plummer is recognized as having extensive technical expertise in tax, particularly in the areas of capital management, public company M&A, tax consolidation, tax policy design and application, purpose-based integrity rules, and airline industry taxation. He has authored a number of technical articles and presented on multiple occasions at industry and technical forums.
Mr. Plummer has extensive experience working with the Australian Taxation Office, including client and industry representations, investigations, and advocacy. He is well versed in the development and drafting of tax policy and technical submissions. Mr. Plummer also has experience within a corporate tax function, having spent four years on secondment (part time) with a large Australian multinational group.
Mr. Plummer earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Macquarie University in Sydney and a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Technology Sydney. He is also a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, and a member of the Tax Institute. In 2014, he was recognized by the Tax Institute as Australia’s best tax advisor.
