Proposed New Documentation Rules for Related-Party Debt: A Practical Approach

April 28, 2016
As is often the case in practical tax planning, “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” On April 4, 2016, the IRS and Treasury issued proposed regulations under the authority of Section 385 of the Internal Revenue Code.
