Please join us in recapping this virtual event where we presented the key findings from our recent publication “Executive Pay in the UK – The ‘Big Tent’ Discussion”, which makes our contribution to the ongoing debate around executive pay in the UK-listed market. In this webinar, we present an objective analysis of four key trends in the evolution of the UK market over the last ten years, including consideration of the US ‘premium’, the real terms decline in average total CEO compensation, and more onerous structuring of executive packages. We then set out our ideas for potential change, focusing on areas such as fostering greater flexibility in the design and operation of incentives, the simplification of executive shareholding requirements, and addressing the always sensitive issue of quantum. Finally, we assess the increasingly rules-based environment in which remuneration committees operate, and provide our recommendations for change.
