Raffi Bloom is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Global Transaction Advisory Group in Los Angeles. He is part of the firm’s Software & Technology Industry group, and brings more than 12 years of public and private experience, specializing in buy- and sell-side financial due diligence for private equity and strategic clients.

Mr. Bloom focuses on transactions in software and technology related industries, ranging in deal size from lower middle market to large cap. These have included both domestic and cross border deals, involving multiple foreign jurisdictions and the coordination of multiple services lines, including operations and tax due diligence.

Additionally, Mr. Bloom advises clients on various financial and operating metrics, including revenue related analyses, such as customer retention, recurring versus non-recurring revenue, gross margin analyses, customer concentration, pricing and bookings momentum, as well as core due diligence analyses, such as normalized EBITDA and net working capital, pro forma EBITDA, free cash flow, debt and debt-like items and supporting broader transaction and financing negotiations.

Mr. Bloom has also provided other technical accounting and finance services, including constructing carve-out financial statements; evaluating revenue recognition and key accounting policy conformance to GAAP; and assessing internal controls.  

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Bloom worked in PWC’s Transaction Advisory Group, Barclays Investment Bank’s Product Control Group and at Deloitte & Touche, LLP in New York. 

Mr. Bloom earned a bachelor's degree in accountancy from the University of Connecticut. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of New York and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
