Philippe Dupont

During his career, Mr. Dupont has specialized in complex transformation, restructuring and mergers for large banking corporates. He has extensive knowledge of large CAC 40 and SBF 120 companies, especially in the financial services sector.
Recognized as a leader in the French financial sector, Mr. Dupont most recently served as a Senior Advisor at AlixPartners where he helped increase the positioning of key accounts across major economic sectors.
As the first Chairman of BPCE Group, Mr Dupont led the merger of Banque Populaire and Caisse d’Epargne. He was one of the architects of Natixis, the joint venture between Banque Populaire and Caisse d’Epargne Groups for common financing, management and services.
Mr. Dupont has also previously served as the Chairman and CEO of the Banque Populaire Group. He helped transform the Group with a growth plan that included the merger and acquisition of Coface, the integration of Crédit Coopératif and Crédit Maritime Mutuel and the acquisition of Foncia along with HSBC France's regional network. Additionally, Mr. Dupont also chaired the French Banking Federation.
During his tenure as Vice-President of the Caisse Centrale des Banques Populaires, Mr. Dupont simultaneously served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Banque Populaire de la Region Ouest de Paris (BPROP) and as a member of the union council.
Mr. Dupont began his career at Max Dupont et Cie, his family’s trading grain and flour business. He served as its Chairman until the company was sold.
Mr. Dupont is currently the Treasurer of the Fondation de France.
