Kevin McMahon is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal and leads our National Human Resources and Change Management practice.

With more than 18 years of management and consulting experience involving complex business and performance issues, he has practical hands-on experience running human resources operations in the areas of large scale change, ERP, organizational design and effectiveness, recruiting, broad based compensation and incentive plan design, training and development, performance management HRIS and acquisition due diligence and integration work.

Serving in either an interim management or more traditional consulting role , Mr. McMahon has worked on notable assignments across a diverse set of industry sectors including energy, chemicals, computer manufacturing, software, oil field services, engineering and construction, financial services, insurance, government, not-for profit and school districts.

Some of his accomplishments include: Conducted organizational assessments for several companies leading to recommendations relative to new structures, new processes and procedures and enabling technology. Designed and implemented LEAN program office within large independent an oil and gas company to include organizational structure, job profiles, certification paths and sourcing candidates to fill key program roles. He worked closely with the CEO and SVP HR to design and implement standards for compensation design, performance management, recruitment and selection and overall talent management strategies.

Mr. McMahon served as interim human resources management, responsible for operating, managing and transforming core components of the HR function, including new job roles, policies and procedures, a new HRIS system and staffing. He also served as lead PMO for large transformation implementing Oracle HR.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. McMahon spent over four years as global director of organizational development for BMC Software. Previously he served as a senior manager in the change management practice of a Big Five firm.

Mr. McMahon earned a bachelor of arts degree from Southwestern University and a master's degree in industrial organizational psychology from St. Mary's University.
