Jürgen Geiger

Mr. Geiger’s primary focus is developing and implementing performance improvement programs and operating model adjustments, often in challenging corporate situations or in preparation for transactions. He has led a range of projects to identify improvement potential, develop target operating models, enhance value chains, reduce fixed costs, and improve cash flow.
Notable assignments include: developing and executing a cost-improvement and revenue-enhancement program for a world-leading genset manufacturer that targeted the entire value chain, leading to a significant reduction in costs and a doubling of profitability levels; developing and rolling out a lean management transformation program for a leading European industrial service provider for power and other industrial plants, with a focus on employee productivity; developing and implementing a new operating model for a German industrial service provider, with a focus on agility and customer satisfaction; and developing and executing a growth program for a leading motor and genset manufacturer, addressing business development and reorganization and retraining of the sales force.
Mr. Geiger has also conducted many due diligence projects on target companies in various industry sectors, including operating model assessments and identifying improvement potential as a prerequisite for successful M&A activities.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Geiger spent 22 years at McKinsey & Company, including 16 years as a Partner. Mr. Geiger started his professional career at Burkhardt + Weber, supplying production machinery to various industry sectors. He also worked for Volkswagen in Mexico and for a Siemens hydropower joint venture in China.
Mr. Geiger earned a master’s degree in engineering from Esslingen University of Applied Sciences and an MBA in finance and information systems from California State University, on a Fulbright Scholarship. A German national, Mr. Geiger is fluent in German and English, with conversational ability in Spanish and Portuguese.
