Jeffrey Jones

Mr. Jones has refined his expertise over many years working alongside some of Wall Street’s most reputable firms. He uses it as the catalyst for partner-level relationships within the financial sponsor universe, where his alliances will mobilize new assignments and associated value-added opportunities.
While at A&M, Mr. Jones has helped deploy the firm’s vast pool of functional and operational experts on value creation opportunities at private equity portfolio companies. Most recently, he successfully executed a financial sponsor’s pre-acquisition thesis on a multibillion-dollar leveraged buyout that required a significant transformation process.
Mr. Jones’ team conducted a comprehensive review of the target’s operations during the pre-acquisition stage and implemented several value creation initiatives that included FTE reductions, senior management and board realignments, consolidating the manufacturing footprint and supply chain, optimizing IT, refocusing on profitable SKUs, and improving post-acquisition operating margins. These countermeasures resulted in significant enhancements to gross margins and SG&A and enriched EBITDA and enterprise value.
Mr. Jones also helped secure a key role for A&M in a significant bankruptcy case and assisted the creditors during the in-court restructuring process. He deployed his in-depth knowledge and experience about the financial and operational structure of the asset while in Chapter 11 and aided with the liquidity assessment, business plan evaluation, asset and enterprise valuation preparation, unencumbered value identification and preservation, and intercompany activity analysis.
Mr. Jones earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon. He is a frequent guest lecturer on mergers and acquisitions at the University’s Lundquist College of Business graduate school. Mr. Jones served two terms on the board of the Cardinal Shehan Center of Bridgeport, CT. He was Co-Chair of the Consulting Advisory Board for Youth I.N.C and was the lead Advisory Board member for TapDynamics, a start-up venture providing beverage and data management solutions for the hospitality industry.
