James Guyette is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Private Equity Services Operations Group in Dallas. He supports multinational corporations and middle-market portfolio companies in implementing sustained performance improvement and has worked throughout Europe, Australia, South Africa and North and South America to rapidly deploy collaboration efforts with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
Mr. Guyette brings 30 years of operations management experience with additional functional expertise in manufacturing, engineering and supply chain management.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Guyette implemented performance improvement projects in the aerospace, agriculture, automotive and transportation sectors with assignments ranging from simple design engineering projects to complex systems integration programs. He led complete product portfolio redesigns, multisite merger integrations, plant turnarounds, global procurement, supply chain management, operational due diligence and operational strategy alignment.
Mr. Guyette began his career with The Boeing Commercial Airplane Group and The Boeing Defense & Space Group, holding various roles in finance, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, training and development, and manufacturing management. He was a team leader on the production launch of the Boeing 777-200.
Mr. Guyette earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from St. Mary’s College of California and an MBA (engineering and technology management focus) from City University of Seattle. He has completed Harvard Business School’s Executive Education program in Turnaround Management, the Center for Creative Leadership’s Developing the Strategic Leader program and SAVE International’s Certified Value Specialist certification.
