Faisal Tanvir is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax in Saudi Arabia. He has more than 20 years of experience in tax compliance and advisory, and has worked with clients in various industries, including financial services, manufacturing, construction, and real estate.
Faisal has deep expertise in Saudi Arabian Zakat and tax regulations, as well as value-added tax (VAT). His experience includes: developing and implementing tax and Zakat planning strategies; reviewing agreements and advising on tax and Zakat implications; advising on tax and Zakat-efficient structures; assisting with setting up new companies in Saudi Arabia; and working on field audit inspections and tax controversies.
Prior to joining A&M, Faisal spent 18 years with Big Four firms in Saudi Arabia, most recently serving as a Tax Partner and leading a Tax practice in the western region of Saudi Arabia. He began his career in Pakistan and has also worked in various industrial settings.
Faisal earned a certificate from the High Potentials Leadership Program at Harvard Business School. He is a qualified member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Faisal is also a regular presenter at seminars in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East and North Africa region.
