Faisal Ahmad is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal in London. He leads the data and intelligence team in Europe, which focuses on supporting clients’ leverage data intelligence to drive business performance across multiple areas including product profitability, customer retention, cost reduction, capital optimization, and process automation.
Mr. Ahmad has advised businesses in a wide range of industries including manufacturing, healthcare and life sciences, retail, real estate, and technology. He has worked on projects across multiple markets including the U.K., Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Finland, Switzerland, and the Middle East.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Ahmad spent 15 years with PwC in London, where he most recently served as Director in their Deals division. He led a range of global data intelligence and analytics projects for PE funds and their portfolio companies to support performance improvement, value creation, and deal readiness initiatives. His notable projects include leading a major MI and performance reporting analytics project at a PE-backed global generics pharmaceutical business. He focused on gross to net sales, new product launch performance, product profitability, and primary functional cost tracking.
In addition, Mr. Ahmad led vendor assistance analytics to support the €10+ billion sale of a PE owned European logistics real estate business. He also developed Covid-operational scenario and liquidity requirement assessments to support the board of PE-backed international manufacturing business.
Mr. Ahmad earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and management from King’s College London. He is a CFA charterholder and member of the CFA Institute. He is also a fully qualified Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS).
