He specializes in accounting and financial analysis for buy-side, sell-side and post-transaction matters for both private equity firms and strategic buyers. Specifically, he advises businesses on quality of earnings, purchase price adjustments and working capital requirements.
Mr. Kessler has experience across a wide range of industries, including transportation, distribution, general manufacturing, construction and retail. He has advised clients on over 50 financial accounting due diligence projects since 2007.
He has also performed financial advisory work for a $2 billion manufacturer assisting in the cash forecasting, working capital management and performing a number of accounting advisory projects which included a detailed analysis of the company’s inventory costing and revising the company’s financial consolidation.
In addition, he was recently engaged by a print media company to advise on a number of internal accounting issues including consolidation, bad debt expense and intercompany transactions.
Before joining A&M, Mr. Kessler was a senior associate with the private company services practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers, working with high-growth private clients to assess key performance indicators, analyze financial risk and provide audit reports.
Mr. Kessler earned a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Valparaiso University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the state of Illinois and a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Illinois CPA Society.
