Di Li
Mr. Li brings more than 10 years of accounting and financial analysis experience in buy-side, sell-side, and post-transaction matters for both private equity firms and strategic buyers.
Mr. Li has advised clients on domestic and international transactions, including traditional buy-side transactions, portfolio company add-on transactions, carve-outs, and sell-side divestiture assistance. Mr. Li has also assisted with pre- and post-acquisition accounting, financial integration, and restructuring efforts. His sector experience encompasses a wide range of industries, including manufacturing and distribution, consumer goods, paper and packaging, agriculture and foods, franchisors/franchisees, and business services. He has coordinated and led over 150 financial accounting due diligence projects.
Mr. Li focuses on determining the quality of earnings and working capital requirements of acquisition targets to affect purchase price negotiations, achieved through analysis of financial statements and discussions with C-level management. He also identifies key business drivers and trends to determine the sustainability of earnings and the growth potential of acquisition targets. Further, he ensures that acquisition and financing agreements reflect the proper deal structure and coincide with financial due diligence findings. He is also experienced in evaluating both investor and management forecast models, performing synergy/cost savings analyses, and completing carve-out/standalone assessments.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Li was an associate in Deloitte’s Assurance practice in Houston. In this role, he primarily worked with public clients in the energy sector to assess key performance indicators, analyze financial risks, and provide audit services.
Mr. Li earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree in accountancy from the University of Houston. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the state of Texas.
