David Evans is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Corporate Transactions Group in Chicago. With more than 20 years of transactions experience, he specializes in financial due diligence and M&A transaction support.

Mr. Evans assists clients on buy and sell-side transactions, focusing on analyzing key deal and valuation issues such as quality of earnings, indebtedness and working capital requirements. He leads and coordinates multi-disciplinary teams that deliver services to corporate clients and private equity firms. 

Mr. Evans has completed transactions involving public and private companies, including complex carve-outs and capital market transactions. He has also led work supporting special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) transactions. His experience ranges from lower and middle-market size transactions to large cross-border global transactions. 

Mr. Evans has worked with clients in various industries and has extensive experience in industrials, automotive and power. His engagements include supporting global original equipment manufacturers with multibillion-dollar acquisitions and divestitures and transactions involving other diversified industrial, automotive and commercial vehicle companies and private equity firms. 

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Evans was a Managing Director with KPMG’s Deal Advisory group across its U.S. and U.K. practices.

Mr. Evans earned a bachelor’s degree (honors) from Warwick University, England. He is a qualified chartered accountant (ACA) and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW). Mr. Evans received the Roland Yearsley and ECHM awards for high marks in his professional exams.
