Cody Dixon is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax in Dallas. He brings more than 19 years of experience helping clients design and implement custom tax technology solutions.

Mr. Dixon specializes in extracting and transforming data from enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for tax purposes. His expertise includes developing automated solutions that streamline tax processes across direct, indirect, and international tax functions. His expertise in data science and analytics enables him to develop creative and practical solutions for his clients.  

Mr. Dixon has focused on fixed assets and tax depreciation throughout his entire career. He leads a tax depreciation managed service, where he combines tax technical and technology expertise to solve fixed asset challenges for his clients. Notably, Mr. Dixon has helped clients optimize cash refunds through duty drawback programs. His supply chain and logistics knowledge, along with his experience exporting data from ERP systems, enables him to automate trade data flows while maximizing claim refunds.  

Additionally, Mr. Dixon utilizes technology solutions to navigate the ever-changing sales and use tax landscape. Through technology-driven solutions, he helps his clients maintain sales and use tax compliance, monitor nexus, and gain insight into transactional data. He specializes in helping his clients build or customize tax engine integrations. He leads A&M Tax’s sales & use tax technology partnerships with Vertex, Thomson Reuters, and Avalara.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Dixon spent more than a decade with PwC in Dallas, leading a Tax Technology Consulting and Software Development team.

Mr. Dixon earned a BBA from Texas Tech University. He is also certified as an Oracle PL/SQL developer.
