Christopher Datino is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax in New York and Morristown.

With more than 25 years of tax consulting and compliance experience, Mr. Datino specializes in U.S. domestic tax services related to strategic mergers and acquisitions, compliance, consulting and controversy matters. He has worked with clients across a range of industries, including professional/financial services companies, life sciences, technology, retail, manufacturing, entertainment and real estate.

Additionally, Mr. Datino provides tax compliance services and advises high net-worth individuals and their families on tax issues impacting their business operations, personal wealth and succession planning. His clients have included a range of operational organizations and high-net-worth individuals, with a focus on mid-market private equity backed companies and privately held companies as well as their owners.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Datino spent 12 years with KPMG, where he most recently served as Managing Director in the firm’s Business Tax Services practice, providing tax services to private equity backed companies as well as privately held companies and their owners. He also served as an executive director in the firm’s internal tax research, planning, technology and compliance groups.

Previously, Mr. Datino worked in public accounting for many years and in the tax department of a publicly traded company.

Mr. Datino earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the City University of New York at Hunter College. He is a licensed Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent practicing before the IRS and in any state or territory of the U.S.
