Alwaleed Alkareedis is a Licensed Partner with Alvarez & Marsal Tax in Saudi Arabia. Alwaleed has over seven years of experience, specializing in domestic Zakat, direct tax, and other assurance services.
Alwaleed has worked extensively with major local and multinational clients, supporting them with Zakat and income tax compliance, advisory services, tax authority audits, and assessments. Alwaleed’s notable assignments include: managing a business unit structuring project; ensuring seamless integration and compliance in a multidisciplinary project involving accounting, legal, direct tax, indirect tax, and transfer pricing; and providing strategic insights and recommendations to governmental bodies on challenges related to proposed regulatory changes for a key sector in Saudi Arabia.
Prior to joining A&M, Alwaleed served as a Direct Tax Manager in PwC Middle East’s Core Tax practice. He led a team delivering Zakat and direct tax advisory, health checks, planning, structuring, and assessments. Prior to PwC, Alwaleed spent over three years working in assurance at EY in Riyadh. As a Senior Auditor, he lead teams across multiple sectors, leading fieldwork, audits, and other assurance services, with a focus on precision.
Alwaleed earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from King Saud University. He is a member of the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA).
