Mr. Araujo specializes in leading financial accounting due diligence on behalf of private equity and corporate acquirers. He has worked in more than a dozen countries across various industries. Mr. Araujo has led numerous cross-border and cross-functional teams and is experienced with transaction risks and business practices throughout Latin America. Prior to A&M, Mr. Araujo was the lead Transaction Support partner in EY Peru responsible for developing the team in-country.
Mr. Araujo's industry expertise includes consumer products, healthcare, education, telecommunications, retail, general manufacturing, and restaurants. He has advised on transactions ranging from less than $1 million to over $7 billion in the United States, Europe and Latin America.
His professional experience includes over 10 years with Ernst & Young as an auditor and member of the Transaction Advisory Services group in New York and Miami. Following his tenure with EY in the United States, he served as a Chief Restructuring Officer for a manufacturing company in Central America and successfully founded and operated a business process outsourcing entity.
Mr. Araujo earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Villanova University and a master’s degree in accountancy from the University of Notre Dame. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is fluent in English and Spanish.
