Tom Hufton
Mr. Hufton has advised businesses across public and private markets, specializing in supporting leadership teams to anticipate, manage, and respond to moments of change and heightened reputational risk. He has previously been mandated in London and Hong Kong SAR, China, to develop and execute communications strategies across M&A, carve-outs, refinancing, and debt issuances, as well as financial and operational restructurings on both the corporate and lender sides.
Mr. Hufton’s experience includes the pre-pack administrations of Pizza Hut UK, Debenhams, and Prezzo Italian, the restructuring plan for Dobbies Garden Centres, and the compulsory liquidation of Thomas Cook Group, where he led the lender-side communications advisory.
At A&M, Mr. Hufton works as part of a multidisciplinary team combining expertise across strategic communications, investor relations, government affairs, and stakeholder engagement. The team supports clients navigating complex and often high-profile situations, helping to protect and enhance enterprise value through effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Hufton was a Managing Director at FTI Consulting, where he led restructuring communications assignments in London and, before that, advised clients on capital markets communications in EMEA and APAC.
Mr. Hufton earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of Leeds.
