Why Choose a Career at Alvarez & Marsal
What was the “aha” moment that confirmed A&M was the right fit for you?
At the end of my internship, I wrote a farewell email and realized I had developed higher standards for what a team should be, including care, kindness, and a real sense of belonging. I knew I would keep learning at A&M not only through high expectations and challenging work but also in a supportive environment. Nearly two years later, that intuition has proven true as I continue to grow within PEPI.
Mentorship and Career Development at A&M
Can you share a moment where feedback or coaching at A&M helped you grow?
On my first two projects, the feedback I heard most was to be more confident. As a junior professional, I had doubts, but hearing from senior leaders that my work was strong and could be even better if I trusted myself, was a turning point. I began asking the questions I used to hold back, realizing they moved the team forward instead of slowing us down. What really limited me was holding back, not the questions themselves.
Company Culture at Alvarez & Marsal Paris
How would you describe the culture of your local office or team?
At A&M’s Paris office, colleagues bring diverse backgrounds but share a common goal of delivering high-quality results. You see it in the patience of senior leaders explaining complex issues, the accessibility of leaders who join us at lunch, and the sense of belonging at team socials or sports events.
Core Values of Objectivity
How does A&M’s core value of Objectivity resonate with you, and where have you seen it in action at A&M?
Objectivity is an integral part of A&M’s approach, and it is evident every day, particularly at the start of a project. A&M’s philosophy is to act as true partners. The teams, despite their wealth of experience and expertise, listen attentively, always recognizing that clients know their business best. Rather than claiming to have all the answers, A&M uses its expertise to help clients unlock their full potential, a potential already within them that A&M helps bring to light.
Life Outside of Work at A&M
If you could trade lives with someone for a day, who would it be?
If I could trade lives with someone, it would be a high-level athlete. I admire the discipline and dedication they embody, and experiencing a day in their shoes could inspire me to build that same strength and focus.
