Some of his notable roles at A&M have included:
Interim President, Population Health for Healthways, leading a corporate reorganization and restructuring plan. Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Board of Directors, he led a successful carve-out and sale of the Population Health business.
Interim Senior Vice President, Americas, for a $2 billion PE-owned medical device company, where he led the turnaround of a declining revenue business through commercial transformation, organizational realignment and talent management.
Interim Executive Vice President for Lifecell, a $450 million PE-owned biologic regenerative medicine company, leading the development of the strategic growth plan, organizational redesign and implementation of cost reduction initiatives.
Interim CEO for a laboratory, where he led a stabilization and turnaround of the business and sale to a PE sponsor.
Interim CEO for a PE-owned diagnostic device business, where he led an operational turnaround with significant improvement in EBITDA, cash flow and employee morale. Company was awarded Turnaround of the Year within the PE sponsor’s portfolio.
Numerous PE performance improvement assignments focused on operational due diligence, cost reduction plans, business plans, carve-outs, merger integration and finance performance improvement.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Schlissel was Vice President at Timex Corporation, where he led the growth strategy of a new business venture focused on medical devices and managed the health and fitness products business. Before that, he was a Director of Corporate Development and Strategy for Quest Diagnostics, a laboratory service provider, where he led acquisitions, licensing and strategic planning. Mr. Schlissel began his career with KPMG, where led the management of global audits and financial and operational due diligence assignments for clients in the healthcare and technology industries.
Mr. Schlissel earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Binghamton University.
