Conor Johnston

With more than 15 years of experience, Mr. Johnston helps organizations improve their performance through organization, process and service delivery improvements. He has expertise in leading enterprise-wide organization improvement initiatives focused on developing scalable back office service delivery models, leveraging shared services and outsourcing concepts to deliver long term cost reduction and service effectiveness improvements. Mr. Johnston has worked with clients in multiple industries including oilfield services, diversified construction, industrial products, industrial services, manufacturing, healthcare and software.
Recently, Mr. Johnston led a corporate transformation project to reduce costs and improve effectiveness of Selling, General and Administrative (SG&A) functions for a $4 billion global wire and cable manufacturer. Previously, he led a corporate transformation project to identify cost reduction opportunities in the corporate function and to identify revenue enhancement opportunities for a $1.5 billion industrial services client. This engagement identified 10 percent G&A cost reduction and ~20 percent revenue enhancement opportunities.
Prior to that, Mr. Johnston led a 10-year strategic forecasting engagement for a $5 billion diversified construction company across electrical transmission, gas transmission, telecommunications, renewable infrastructure, and electrical and gas distribution markets. In addition, Mr. Johnston led the integration of an industrial engineering company into a $3 billion EPC company serving the utilities and downstream oil and gas end markets.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Johnston spent four years with Archstone Consulting, where he most recently served as an Associate in their CFO Advisory Practice. He helped Fortune 1000 companies improve the performance of their finance function through the implementation of business performance management tools and by leveraging shared services and outsourcing.
Mr. Johnston earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Chicago.
