Adriano Bianchi

Mr. Bianchi has worked across steel, energy, EPC, power generation, real estate, and plant manufacturing sectors. Recent engagements include co-leading the A&M team engaged by a leading PE group to review cost cutting and working capital review of a Spanish plywood producer; acting as co-CRO of Naviera Armas (Spanish leading ferry operator); as Chairman of the Board of an Italian dry bulk shipping company on behalf of an alternative lender; and working on the stabilization and restructuring, through a U.S. Chapter 11 procedure, of Mossi & Ghisolfi, the Italian specialty chemical group.
Previously, Mr. Bianchi led the A&M team in the cash and working capital management of Aveng, a South African listed conglomerate; served as interim COO for the Spanish EPC Isolux; and was interim COO of Spanish EPC Abengoa during its first restructuring. His past engagements include Pininfarina, Lucchini, Culligan, in Italy.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Bianchi was CEO of Impregilo International, HoldCo for the group’s concession portfolio, spanning waste, energy, toll roads, power generation, hospitals and water distribution in Europe, Latin America and Asia as part of the Italian largest listed EPC Impregilo SpA’s and was CEO of Impregilo Edilizia e Servizi (real estate developer). He co-led the firm’s turnaround that restored profitability through select divestitures and reorganization of the business footprint.
Previously, Mr. Bianchi was CEO of Mirant Italia and a member of the European board and executive committee, part of the Atlanta-based, NYSE-listed IPP. Earlier, he was CFO and General Manager of Techint Finanziaria in Milan, part of the Techint/Tenaris Group.
Mr. Bianchi earned a BBA (cum laude) from Università L. Bocconi in Milan and an MBA (honors) from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He is fluent in Italian, English, French and Spanish, and has basic knowledge of Portuguese and German. Mr. Bianchi is a certified NED and sits on the board of Italian-listed Neodecortech SpA. He has taught at SDA Bocconi and Politecnico of Milan graduate schools.
