Mr. Irvines’ notable assignments include working sell-side for a multi-billion-dollar U.K. retailer on a £2 billion sale of non-core assets; supporting a local apparel retailer in the tax structuring of their international M&A activity; and supporting a multi-million-dollar local privately owned infrastructure business through their journey from family to private equity ownership. He has worked with clients across various industries, including retail, consumer products and sports.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Irvine spent 15 years with Ernst & Young LLP in Manchester, where he most recently served as Director in the Private Tax team. Over the past five years, he was key in building the local Private Tax footprint through his internal leadership in building a high performing team, as well as developing his external network across the local private market.

Mr. Irvine earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Ulster. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
