Niko von Tippelskirch

With more than 25 years of experience, Mr. von Tippelskirch specializes in international senior management roles in the financial services industry. He is complementing his career across various business lines and control functions for a leading German bank with senior leadership in an innovative and successful solar financing start-up.
Mr. von Tippelskirch brings industry knowledge and a proven track record in capital markets, commercial and consumer banking, risk, governance, ESG, operations and integration/post merger integration. He has been based in Germany, with significant exposure in the EU-countries, the U.S., U.K. and APAC. Mr. von Tippelskirch advises clients on a broad range of topics related to transformation, optimisation and growth in banking and financial services, including market entry, restructuring and legal entity optimisation, set up of operational and governance structures, risk identification and mitigation and fintech.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. von Tippelskirch spent 21 years with Deutsche Bank, where he held various senior management positions across various business lines and infrastructure and control functions, including Executive Board member of DWS Group as Chief Control Officer (responsible for Risk, Legal, Compliance, AFC and Governance); member of the IPO team; Global Head of Group Incident & Investigation Management, responsible for the highest legal, litigation and regulatory risk situations of DB; and Global Head of Group Legal Entity Management.
Additionally, Mr. von Tippelskirch served as Group Chief Operating Officer Europe with Deutsche Bank, with the responsibility for ~30 countries across Europe and held several board memberships in DB Group, such as CEO of Deutsche Bank Europe GmbH; Chair of the Supervisory Board of DWS Luxembourg SA; Supervisory Board Member of DB Suisse SA; DB Italy Spa; and DB Spain SAE. Furthermore, he worked as co-CEO (CRO) for bullfinch AG, a successful fin/cleantech startup based in Frankfurt/Berlin, building a leading portfolio of decentralized, self-consumption solar assets.
Mr. von Tippelskirch earned a diploma in business administration from University Passau. He is fluent in German and English.
