Michael L. Kohner and Anthony J. Giacalone bring a ready-to-go seasoned team of tax professionals to Florida’s “Wall Street South” private capital market

Kohner and Anthony J. Giacalone based in West Palm Beach, Florida. The addition of Messrs. Kohner and Giacalone, alongside their team of seventeen tax professionals, marks the next phase of A&M Tax’s key market expansion strategy concurrent with bolstering its existing capabilities.

Mr. Kohner and Mr. Giacalone bring decades of tax advisory experience with venture capital, high network individuals, their organizations, and family offices. Their expertise includes federal, state, and estate tax planning, compliance, business consulting, and financial reporting. Their thriving private client service practice in West Palm Beach along with their in-depth market knowledge will enhance A&M Tax’s Private Client Services offering regionally, nationally and globally.

They have represented clients in numerous industries, including construction, real estate, manufacturing, technology, professional sports, media and entertainment, crypto, professional firms, and non-profit organizations. Additionally, Messrs. Kohner and Giacalone have overseen several significant merger and acquisition transactions, major real estate development projects, high-level charitable gifting opportunities, and orchestrated wealth transfer planning for billionaires, CEOs, and athletes.

Prior to joining A&M, with his entire team, Mr. Kohner spent the last 5 years at HBK as Principal in charge of the West Palm Beach office. Before that he had spent a combined quarter century at Arthur Andersen and Andersen Tax, where he served as Managing Director of Andersen Tax’s Florida practice and as the Head of that firm’s Corporate Team. Mr. Giacalone previously served as Principal in the West Palm Beach office of HBK. While there, he partnered closely with Mr. Kohner and served as a member of the Tax Specialists Group, working in coordination with HBK’s Tax Advisory Group. During his time in this role, he worked with clients to achieve both income and transfer tax efficiency as he helped them navigate multiple significant liquidity events.
