André Medeiros is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Transformation Services in London, and co-leads the firm’s European Consumer and Retail Group. He specialises in large transformation programmes across consumer industries.

With over 20 years of experience, Mr. Medeiros focuses on growth, marketing and commercial transformation across consumer players (including revenue growth management, commercial operating model change and digital enablement of sales and marketing capabilities). He also has extensive SG&A cost optimization experience, including OpCo and divisional-level cost turnaround and full operating model transformations. 

Mr. Medeiros’ notable engagements include leading the full enterprise transformation of a global FMCG player, including the full operating cost optimisation of their U.S. division, commercial operating model review across 60+ end-markets, working capital optimisation, marketing effectiveness and trade marketing model change. He also advised on the post private equity transaction value creation (cost and commercial levers) and transformation of several branded food manufacturers following corporate divestments.   

Additionally, Mr. Medeiros has driven the Revenue Growth Management digital toolkit development and implementation across EMEA markets for a leading personal care player; a marketing effectiveness programme for a global player in highly regulated consumer categories; a trade marketing capability upgrade for a leading U.K. beverage and bottling player; and trade marketing and commercial model transformation for a leading global consumer health company.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Medeiros led PwC’s Consumer and Retail Consulting practice in the U.K. and across EMEA. He was also a senior strategy consulting market-facing Partner, driving a number of key CPG client relationships, including the firm’s largest FTSE10 consumer account. Previously, Mr. Medeiros worked at Booz and Company, and across operational and strategy roles at Tesco, a leading international grocery retailer. He started his career in São Paulo, Brazil and has since worked with clients across the U.S., U.K., Australia, Continental Europe and Southeast Asia. 

Mr. Medeiros earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and an MBA from the London Business School.
