Ashley Taylor is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Energy Industry Group in Dubai. His primary areas of concentration are corporate strategy, business transformation, and the design and implementation of sustainability and energy transition strategies.

Mr. Taylor has worked with clients in the energy sector for more than 20 years, including integrated oil companies (IOCs), national oil companies (NOCs), independent exploration and production companies (E&P), and oilfield services companies (OFS).

Most recently, Mr. Taylor provided oversight and leadership of a sustainability strategy for a Drilling and OFS company prior to an initial public offering (IPO).

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Taylor founded NETZERO Middle East, which was acquired by The Carnrite Group in 2021. He continued to serve as Managing Director of NETZERO Solutions, a Carnrite company, as well as being Carnrite Group’s General Manager of Middle East & North Africa.

Previously, Mr. Taylor was Regional Business Development Manager for Baker Hughes in Abu Dhabi, Regional Business Development Manager for Gaffney, Cline & Associates in Dubai, and Western Hemisphere Business Development Manager for Fugro in Oslo. He started his career as a geologist in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Mr. Taylor earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental geoscience and a master’s degree in petroleum geoscience from Imperial College London.
