Mariya Verbitski is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Transaction Advisory Group in San Francisco. With more than fourteen years of transaction advisory and audit experience, she specializes in providing buy- and sell-side financial due diligence to private equity clients and their portfolio companies.

Ms. Verbitski has completed over 200 transactions, advising clients in various industries, including industrial manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, service, and technology-enabled companies. Her areas of expertise are comprehensive analysis of financial information including historical and go-forward pro forma considerations; key performance assessment of the business around deal value drivers, quality of earnings analysis, working capital requirements, and off-balance sheet exposures; and review of purchase agreements to assess potential exposures to clients. 

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Verbitski spent four years with the Transaction Advisory Group at EY providing financial due diligence services to multinational strategic and private equity clients. Previously, she spent three years with EY’s Assurance practice and one year at Callidus Capital in Toronto as part of the firm’s asset-based lending group.

Ms. Verbitski earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce (accounting and finance specialist and economics major) from the University of Toronto. She holds a CA, CPA designation. Ms. Verbitski serves as a Senior Board Member of A&M’s Women’s Leadership Connection (WLC) representing California, and as a Senior Board Lead of the WLC Communications Committee.
